To bundt or not to bundt?

2 part dilemma. Input requested.

My 240d currently has the color matched hubs on it. In talking to a local MB nut, I was telling him I'd like to get an extra set of rims to throw snow tires on. He said he had a set of the bundt rims in his basement he'd just give me. SWEET!!! Now, my question to you all, do I put snow tires on the bundts or the steelies?

Second part of dilemma. Naturally I start looking into snow tires. My first choice is always Nokian, but they don't have anything in 195/70-14. Nobody does as it turns out. MB forums on the subject are all older posts, and the tires don't seem to exist anymore. They were suggesting huge variances in tire size as well, up to 215/75's. So now I might have sweet new rims for no reason. Any help is appreciated.

Second vote for snows on steelies. Sweet ride, BTW. I love those things.

What the crap? I was just on tirerack and did not see those. Thanks though, haha. I've heard good things about the Firestones.

I have the Firestones on my '13 WRX and when I drove through some packed snow in DC the other weekend they were great but when its just wet out those things can slide a lot. I was expecting a little bit better wet traction but from what I can tell they are meant for packed snow since they are studdable. Something like a studdless might work better in all around winter cold and snow conditions.

get centers for the bundts, put snows on the steelies. Ive been growing more fond of the bundts on mine. surprised you didn't have plenty of options for snow tires.

Those aren't mine pictured, but I doubt they'll have the center caps. I think I will do the snows on the steelies. I'm leaning towards the Dunlop's Aaron found. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.js… just going to price locally next.

Mercedessource is pretty much my go to. You can get really specific manuals from their site also. As well as high quality parts, as some of the cheaper parts for these are cheap for a reason.

Snows on steelies for sure. That way the salt & junk in the winter won't eat the crap out of the Bundts. Also I would vote for the Firestone Winterforces, we ran those on my wifes car (98ish Buick Century) and they do very well in snow and sloppy stuff.

This is helpful, but it has no problem cranking over as long as the battery is not dieing from me trying to start it. Meanwhile it puffs out plenty of smoke from the tailpipe and engine bay
