What car had to give its life only to be reborn as this? And remember, reverse-GIS is considered cheating!

NOW EDITED TO INCLUDE SOLUTION.

It once was a Moskwitch 400, basically a pre-war Opel Kadett. After the war, the Russians took the Opel Kadett assembly plant as war reparation, broke it down and re-assembled it in Moscow (hence the name "Muscowite").
