With today's Mega Millions jackpot up to nearly $600 million, what car(s) would you buy if you won?

I would pay all the money to get an RS2 over from Europe.

I'd like to say I'd buy something crazy exotic, but let's be honest, I'd buy a CTS-V wagon.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 11:28 |

Off the top of my head:
Koenigsegg Agera R
Lamborghini Diablo
Land Rover Discovery II
Many two-wheeled machines
A garage and a toolbox
![]() 12/17/2013 at 11:28 |

I'd get the baddest Panamera and Cayenne money can buy for my dd's then I'd open a hot rod shop and throw money at it.

McLaren F1.
"Oh, so you're expecting delivery of your P1 in the next few weeks? How quaint!"
![]() 12/17/2013 at 11:29 |

600 million I'd buy... a ten million dollar crib on a big plot of land with a barn or something for extra cars. it would have: 1 Audi R8 GT, 1 Mclaren P1 (somehow I would get one), 1 Blue 05 s4, 1 X6 M, 1 F type coupe, and I think I'd have to throw in an aventador too, because I could afford it.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 11:29 |

Deuce and a half. I'd put in a semi truck drivetrain in so I could cruise at 80 MPH on the highway.

So many to choose, but my first two purchases would be
E63 AMG wagon
and Singer 911
Then the hard choices begin #richjaloproblems
![]() 12/17/2013 at 11:31 |

I'd buy a B-70 Valkyrie and then organize an expedition to Iran to steal an F-14 Tomcat. Or maybe all of them.

THEY'RE ALL MINE

458 Italia. This one .
Maybe an Aventador. This one .

Weekend cruiser:
Family "Truckster":
Daily Driver:
![]() 12/17/2013 at 11:35 |

Immediate purchase: VW Golf R or fully loaded GTI as a daily driver.
After that, a Carrera GT would have to be number 1 on my list, followed by an R8 V10, a 911 GT3. and a Veyron. There are tons more, but thats the short list.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 11:36 |

Hate to burst your bubble, but the only XB-70 is in Dayton, OH at the Air Force Museum.

Its all geography based:
For my cabin I would need a work truck, so a 3/4 ton diesel...don't care the brand...also I would need a cabin
For my desert base of operations (for the operations I wish to pursue) I would have a converted HDJ80 in full expedition trim or an earthroamer...or both, its got a big garage you see (when I build it of course it will have a big garage)
as for the rest? boy, its tough to say. What I would like to do is have a large garage and restore to showroom condition cars that are of interest to me. mostly 80's and 90's Japanese stuff and maybe some old German stuff. Not so much one car as an entire outfit to keep my busy as I not work. I would also build custom wood camper trailers for the well heeled to keep the party going. Maybe 5-10 a year.

I'm buying a ticket today! I usually just buy once a week, but I have a spare dollar, so I figured I'd try for tonights drawing.
I would have a stable full of Mitsubishi's, a Bugatti Veyron, Grand National, Supra TT (for my wife), 68 Firebird, Pagani Huayra, a couple Aston Martins, probably a Mercedes of some sort as a nice daily.

Jag F-type R coupe.

I already got my list
The Euros: SLS AMG, Ariel Atom.
The WorkHorses: F150 Raptor (or something that can tow)
The JDM's DD a BRZ, IMPORT ALL THE SKYLINES.
I want to keep my list small, in order to have more room in my garage. Also, I promised to God that if I ever won the lotto, I'd give most of it (40%) away. Perhaps donate to my college, and have a bunch of stuff named after me. The other money would go into savings (I still will go to work, go to grad school) and investment.

I'd get a big ass climate controlled barn and fill it to the top with 60-70s Detroit luxury. I already dabble in sporty/utilitarian cars, but ostentatious motor city iron is something I'd love to do, but could never afford the space for. Acres and acres of sheet metal.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 11:45 |

I'd buy an airport so I could park my collection in a hanger, make a road course out of the runway, and give all Opponauts free passes to visit. I'd also call a few manufacturers to build me some one-offs a la Glickenhaus. Those would go in my private collection with other favorite super cars. My collection for public viewing would be a massive collection of anything I found cool under $100,000. That collection would rival a Forza content disc.

The first purchase, would be a house with land and I would build a race track. Even if I only had enough money left over for a Yugo, this would be the route I would go.
If I had real money left over, a McLaren... Berlinetta , C7, NSX... Oh geez I can't stop!

Notice how I did not type the letter X.

For regular driving duty: A clean Volvo 1800S (for the weekends), an NA MkIV Supra with a MT (sans wing) (DD) and a Lexus LX570.
For fun: HPA TT New Beetle (500 HP AWD 6MT New Beetle? Hells yeah) and an Audi C5 S6 with the 6MT.
I think I am officially an adult. Weird.

So you want a fictional aircraft?
![]() 12/17/2013 at 12:01 |
|
It would probably look something like this.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 12:02 |
|
GT40 mkII, plus Ford GT
McLaren F1LM, F1 and P1
Lots of muscle cars
International Scout 80 and 800
1964 Lincoln Continental hardtop and convertible
Dodge Viper ACR and GT class car as well as the 98 le mans winning car
Corvette C7 and corresponding GT class car when it's out plus a C2 and C3
Lamborghini - Gallardo (last of the manuals) Balboni and Super Trofeo Stradale, Diabl0, Countach
That is my first day winning list, I'll think of some more later.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 12:03 |

It's not fictional per se... It just never saw realization. Splitting hairs maybe.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 12:05 |

So many choices, but here's where I'd start:
- Porsche Cayenne Diesel Platinum (DD)
- Singer 911
- 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible
- Mercedes W113
- Mercedes W112 Cabriolet
- 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz
I'd have to buy land somewhere outside the metro to begin construction of The Garage-Mahal to store all the subsequent vehicles. I'm certain it would reach ludicrous levels.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 12:06 |

Eh. You're right. Never built doesn't necessarily mean fictional. I retract my statement.

Somehow convince McLaren to sell me the F1 LM
Bribe the US government so I can DD an RS6 Avant
Finally Zonda 760, Diablo GTR, and an FD

These. These colors. Let's see, there's Spring, Summer, Autumn,

Good grief...
the question isn't what cars would I buy...
The question is, what cars that speak to me in some way... WOULDN'T I buy?
Hell, I would probably start a shop to restore and re-vitalize post-muscle-car-era interesting cars, and flip them for people to buy. Many shops do hot-rods, more do 50s-early 70's Muscle cars. Some do pre-war, or premium luxury and european car restorations. Hardly anybody seems to work on slightly more modern cars that are just now becoming classics. mid-70s through mid-90s.
And I would likewise make a move to personal planes, and maybe helicopters.
And a bunker/garage/hangar in the side of a hill to house it all.

House in the country + flat pavement backyard + and a TVR Cerbera Speed 12 =Happiness.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 12:26 |

E30 M3
Koenigsegg Agera R
CTS - V wagon widebody
AMS Alpha 9 GTR
Ducati 1199 panigale

I know that feel.

![]() 12/17/2013 at 13:07 |

Oh, and a Forester with an STi conversion. I think I must be boring.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 13:23 |

Singer 911.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 15:42 |

Much like #kaycog I would start with a Ford GT, and then get,
A Shelby GT 500 SuperSnake
A Boss 302 Laguna Seca
An original Shelby 427 Cobra
A Factory Five Cobra for street duty and playtime, also with a 427, but windsor and supercharged.
An Eleanor Clone with a 427 built by Nelson Racing and all the associated suspension and go fast goodies.
....and any other vehicles that stike my fancy.
Oh what a wonderful dream it is.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 17:10 |

Probably nothing. I'd just build my sti and get a truck to pull it. A nice house though, seperate garage with a couple lifts.
![]() 12/17/2013 at 19:27 |

Too many to count....
But I would start with an LF-A, F40, RS7 and E28 M5.

Ferrari 458 Italia Spider
Ferrari F355
Ferrari 308 GT4
Ferrari F40
Singer 911
Porsche 928
Lambo Countach
Lambo Gallardo Spider
Lambo Murcielago
Audi RS6 Avant
BMW E90 M3
BMW F10 M5
Honda S2000
McLaren Mp4-12c Spider
Jaguar F-Type
Jaguar D-Type
That retromod E-type that Clarkson likes.

Skyline R32 (for fun on the weekends)...and an R390 for my daily. I bet that thing will baby.

Cool. I had some neighbors some years back that won about 94 mil. The girl promptly divorced the guy and took off.
![]() 12/18/2013 at 22:22 |

I've actually thought about this before. I'd want cars that I could actually drive and enjoy, not just look at.
Miura SV
288 GTO
F40
67 L88 Corvette
70 Challenger or Hemi Cuda
59 ElDorado convertible
Hummer H1 Alpha (for the zombie apocalypse)
Gallardo, RWD with manual gated shifter for my daily driver
![]() 12/22/2013 at 22:41 |

Well, I didn't win the 600 mil, but I did think about what I'd drive if I had...
Classics: E-type for me, 66 Mustang for my wife
Road trip car: Top-line Panamera
Daily: JK Wrangler for me, probably trade my black Challenger in on a purple SRT for my wife. (She's getting the black one already when I get back to a Jeep, but she always wanted a red or purple one.)
