Happened at about 10:00 am. As I understand the pick up crossed center striking the box truck with the semi following suit.

That's about what I heard as well. Seems northbound has cleared up pretty well, but as bad as the traffic normally is, I'm sure it's going to be double since the scene isn't cleared...

Did the semi driver die or the pickup?

Sadly the semi driver passed. The pick up driver was rushed to Madigan with serious injuries.
