I don't usually watch the Brazilian Stock Car Championship, but when I do, they put on some of the most competitive, not to mention brutal, racing in recent memory. It's a shame more people in other countries didn't get to see today's Race for the Million (they took a page out of NASCAR's handbook and put a purse of one million reais for the final race of the season), because it was amazing. The last few laps were so violent that virtually all the cars had parts of the bodywork bent and hanging and staying on the track was more a suggestion than a general rule. It was brutal, and I hate to praise Brazil for anything at all, but godamn, THAT is racing.

Yup, he didn't place so well, with Ricardo Zonta scoring the Million and Ricardo Maurício scoring the Cahmpionship, but I needed a good shot of the Chevy Sonic and his is probably the most photogenic on the grid, haha...

It's nothing to write home about really, but it's not such a bad car for Brazillian standards, though it hasn't had the same success as the Onix:

My parents bought one of these, loaded, and today's economic Chevy is ages ahead of the economy cars I grew up with. I'm thinking about making an oppo review after I spend more time with it, it's a real nice little car.

What do you mean, exactly? I'm Brazilian, so the races air on Globo and SporTV. I usually miss them because I sleep until late on weekends, but today I managed to catch it right from the beginning.

I'm not sure if they're available elsewhere, online or otherwise, though.
