I drove eight hours yesterday from New Orleans to just west of Dallas so I could check out a 2000 Boxster S appeared to be absolutely perfect, but I just had to see it in person. I traded in my Mustang and made a little bit of money. The crazy part is I have to make the return trip today. Ugh. Not looking forward to that, but hey— I own a Boxster again.

You're not crazy.

Driving way out of your way to get the car of your dreams is the most Jalop thing you can do. The only way it could be more Jalop is if the car in question was a brown 12 rotary diesel wagon supercar.

All joking aside, thanks for the vote of confidence. At the end of the drive yesterday I was beginning to question whether it was even worth it. But when I saw the car and got in it, all of my exhaustion melted away. Christmas came early I guess you could say. :)

You could be crazier, last weekend me and my brother flew to Georgia to buy a 76 Ford F-100 based on 6 pictures and a shitty video and drive it home to MA in what would turn out to be the first huge snowstorm of the year that followed us from North Carolina to Home.

Not crazy! I drove back and forth to the west edge of Virginia(6 hours each way) to pick up my e30 'vert two years ago. It snowed on the way back, the first day I owned it.
