Finally got into town after a solid drive from Michigan. The WRX even managed a respectable 26.1mpg despite an average temperature of about 17 degrees.

Whereabouts in Michigan were you? I'm driving home tomorrow, how are the roads after the snow dump today?

You know Michigan. Salt, Salt, Salt. 167 tons per mile per winter. Roads are generally good. Cars suffer from it. (I grew up there).

This. My Car was literally white by the time I got out of Michigan and back into the 21st century.

Haha, I don't doubt it. What highway were you taking?

I used to commute between Grand Rapids and Lansing every day. I-96.

I-196 South. Not much snow, just a shit load of salt.

Same highway I take, then switch the 94 in Indiana. Love driving up north in the summer at night on 196. Set the cruise a 1XX, radar detector on full blast and eat the miles.
