My car's younger brother showed up at the office today. Need to track down the owner and let him (based off the car and the Steelers plate frame, I'm guessing a guy drives this particular car) know they bought the wrong M5. Okay, not really. I just happen to enjoy driving the E39 over the E60.
Maybe we can be Beemer Buddies and go do BMW owner things like ass-hat parking and not using a turn signal. We can wear matching golf polos with the //M logo! Play tennis!! Swap wives!!!
So exciting.

Error: There is no such thing as buying the wrong M5. They are all the right M5.
-Former E39 M5 (x2) and E60 M5 owner... looking forward to the day when I can pick up one of each in the future.

Awesome. I hope to have an M5 someday so that I, too, can do all these things.
Well, maybe not all the things...

I did correct myself.
I like the E60, but day-to-day it didn't give me the grins that the E39 does. The torque on the E60 comes in around 5-5.5K so you have to rev the piss out of it to get the power. The E39's low-end torque is much more fun (for me) as you feel it every time you get off the line.
Also, I like being able to work on my own car, and the computers in the E60 make it damn near impossible without being an authorized service center. Really, I can't change my own battery?!

The blue one is a step ahead giving it's over the yellow line.

teach him the right way to put it in...I see what you did, cant argue with giving yourself ample room. And Id take a E39 any day, an awesome classic.

That SOUND though. Oh my god, I drove around with the windows down all the time. I took out some of the insulation in the trunk so I could hear it better (also had an aftermarket exhaust).
And revving it was the fun part. What a wild ride that thing was.
But I sold it with 65k miles because I was terrified of driving it out of warranty. So your point is definitely valid.

While some might say you parked like an asshat, I disagree. If you were impeeding into another legal spot, sure.
Hell, I do the same thing. I'll hug a curb just to give my car a wide berth for the inevitable douchenozzle that parks next to me.
Now, the guy in the black E90 did kinda park like an asshat. He appears over the line, and the car isn't even straight.

We're all (well there are a few exceptions) pretty good about parking at my office. Those of us in the corner spots (like me) park as far over as possible, the car next can park on the line to give space to the car next to them. We have a system.
