Some of you may be following my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , others not. Some of you have said my car looks good and that you haven't ever drawn anything as well. Do not despair, for I, too, am a terrible artist!

Observe, the first attempt made since I was six or something like that. It is a masterpiece:
The second attempt was not much better. Yes, these are two different drawings on two different pages.
Eventually I started adding more detail into them:
And then I began to start making pages with some tiny rough ideas before moving on:
Fat load of good it did though!
This one wasn't half terrible, but it is still pretty terrible:
Best thing that came out of this one was the logo up top, which is still in use on the newest iterations:

i doodle auto designs fairly regularly, i dig these. play with getting proportions right, then worry about 'design elements' like scoops and whatnot.

These are all the little doodles that lead up to the main event, located here and here . I wanted to post these for laughs and to hopefully encourage others to keep going even if they think what they are doing now is awful.

My Ferrari lights and moustache intakes? I might just bring those headlights back, since what I have now is going to have everybody going "458!" when that was not at all what I had in mind, ha ha.

I really like 3 and 8.
I definitely thought these were corvette inspired, now I can see that! hah.
3 reminds me of a smaller chevy performance car as compared to the vette, which would be friggin awesome.
In the 8th piccture, the second one really has cool shapes and overall form.
Last picture fro mthe top really highlights that greenhouse to back end shaping that I like a lot.

Freehand is fine for sketching and stuff, but for a more polished result you really need to use a compass and straight edge. These are mostly freehand, which is part of why they are so much wobblier than the ones from the other posts.
It's also a good idea to have a reference car to use for judging proportions. I've had pictures of the F50 GT and Porsche 918 sitting open.
Why don't you post some of your drawings? I want to see what other people are doing. :)
