This has been coming for years. Ford, Holden, Mitsubishi and Toyota have come begging to Canberra for billions every few years. It had to stop some time.
Maybe something good will come of this. GM in Detroit may see the need to mass produce V8 RWD sedans, wagons & utes. Which means you 'muricans will get them too.
