First new Mustang I've seen that I actually felt a twinge of "want" from. Nice concept 'shop, I like it a lot. The color is awesome. The more I look at it the more I like it. Much better than red.

The wheels look perfect on the 2015 Mustang. I like the contrast of retro rims on the more modern body.

The dark, subtle green looks great.

I always wonder what a Bullitt would look like if Frank Bullitt was a new character, rather than trying to re-visit the 60's Bullitt...

Kind of like how JJ Abrams is re-booting everything... Star Trek, and now he's making a new Blade Runner-esque tv show with Bones McCoy (Karl Urban), in Almost Human...

What if Frank Bullitt were a 30 or 40 something detective today, and he went and bought a Mustang with what is available now, with the same taste, but not trying to re-live the 1968 movie.

I could see this car, in dark Highland green, (if they offer it) or Ford's already announced dark Deep Impact Blue.

And for aftermarket wheels... Torque-Thrusts are retro now. They were modern then. What would be modern and under-stated now...

I am thinking bronze is a more modern trend than machined with a black or grey center... but a polished lip, with a gunmetal center disk would work, too.

I am thinking Work Meister S1R in Bronze... For a mustang that is a little bit modern, and a little bit traditional, a modern-looking 5-spoke disk, but the tradition of having a wheel lip, rather than concave all the way to the tire edge...

de-badged, with the tail lights smoke tinted. (would be better if the plastic were not red, and just a bit smoke tinted, and the LEDs made them light red sequentially.

I know the EcoBoost I4 is the new thing... and part of me likes the idea of a new SVO, but Bullitt had the GT390 for a reason back then... He would have the 5.0 now, maybe even tuned up to a Boss302 specification.

I think that would be a cool, clean new combo...

Black out part of the hood, and the roof, with some sort of spoiler treatment to the trunk lid... it could go from Bullitt to Mach 1 pretty easily, especially in Deep Impact Blue.

Don't get me wrong, I love Bullitt, love McQueen, and love the Mustang (and 440 Charger R/t for that matter), but don't try and put them back together. One's 45 years old, one's dead, and the last is receiving facelifts to try and stay young.

This photo is a good representation of things that should have been left to age gracefully.
