Hello there.
Do any of the Manhattan based Opponaut's have any experience with the Manhattan Classic Car Club? I would like to know what people who are members think of it. I would like to find a car club in Manhattan to join but I have not been able to find one and the CCC is a bit to rich for my blood. Ideas? Recommendations? Experiences? Oh and I'm 18... tehe

Kinda depends, what kind of club are you looking to join? a club that does car meets, or a cruising club? there are quiet a few around the area, Yorktown has a very active cars and coffee, Think there was a meet yesterday even with the impending weather. Over in NJ we had one as well, along with a Paul Walker tribute meet.

If it is track meets, try looking into the car club from the make of car you have. I own a BMW so the local NJ chapter usually has track days and autox events. but predominantly during the warmer months. I have a CCA membership but they changed the rules for track days recently, so I cant drive my M roadster on the track anymore, if you see a BMW track event and want to join, hit me up. Look at 'Hooked on driving', they set up track events as well, although you have to progress through stages until they let you drive alone on the track, you would usually have to have an instructor in your car for the first few track days. There are groups that set up AutoX events in the Giants stadium parking lot, but don't have too much info on them.. And as for cruising clubs I run one in North Jersey, but we have stopped cruising for the season, probably start again in mid March, when it is a little warmer.

To find events like track days, cruises, and such, Id start looking on forums and stuff. I don't know of any specific automotive club in NYC besides from like the SCCA, PCS, BMWCCA, and CCC.
Let me know if you find one though, I am also young and in NYC. DO you have a car?

Yeah... I have a 300tdt 1984. I'll keep you posted. Actually considering making my own damn club lols
