My Mitsubishi Magna (named Manny, for those playing at home) turns twelve this week, and just clocked over 240,000km yesterday.
For its entry into the terrible teens, Manny received a new oxygen sensor (not a fun exercise to do with limited crawl space - whipper-snipper line has never been so handy!)
...and a wash and polish
I hope to get a few more good years out of Manny yet!

Looks nice and clean. If you can keep it clear of rust and electrical gremlins - I think you can keep it running as long as you can get parts.

Thanks!
Rust isn't really an issue here (Australia), but the sun is, and the roof is showing the full effects of UV/clearcoat damage and Mitsubishi's lax attitude to paint technology in the late '90s & early 2000s.
Parts haven't been an issue, as the Magna was manufactured here in reasonable numbers, and thankfully they're pretty easy to work on.

Nice! Looks to be a clean relatively straight bodied car!
My Firebird is now 13, I've had it for 11 years now and has 160,000 miles (~260,000km) on it. I really don't plan on getting rid of it. Plenty of parts around to keep it going, or donor cars to make a zombie from.
Needs paint, but that will have to wait until after I finish my new longblock and turbo build (don't want to scratch up fresh paint while doing fab work).

Looks tidy man, especially for the miles!

Some weird paint imperfection that only shows up in certain angles.. not a dent

Thanks, it's getting some Australian parts put in it soon enough. Had to source a few Holden performance parts to make the next step possible because the rwd V6 market here isn't quite as strong.

True, the 3.8L market is pretty strong here, no shortage of performance bits for them

My parents used to have a Diamante LS - it was such a good car. Then they gave it to my sister, who parked it and now it sits neglected. Sigh .

Yup. I had been searching for a good clutch/flywheel setup to handle a turbo that's good for over 500kW.
Companies here in the US pretty much had zero interest in helping me out with a pos V6. Started searching on justcommodores as I usually do for hard to find parts and happened upon a gold mine.
Talking to NPC Australia on a dual plate clutch w/ a billet steel flywheel. It's gonna be a bit costly but I need a setup to handle the power without being abusive on the street.
