I'm writing up the story of my move and road trip from NJ to CA, and based on current pace it'll be about 2500 words, though it does have plenty of photos to go along with it. I guess I'm feeling a little unsure about posting it here, as I'm not sure if y'all would read through something that long. Do I just say screw it and post it anyway?

No such thing as too long. You might lose some readers but it's likely their loss. Post away!

I'll read it. Post photos in between paragraphs. Road trips are good. Although I usually pace myself with fill ups, get gas, get food, bathroom break, we aren't stopping for another 400 miles, hammer down.

I would actually like to take a 2k-3k mile loop and look at everything, national parks, roadside attractions, rest stops..... Along the way. Bring it!

Go for it. Folks will either read it or they won't. Nothing like a good road story.

You could always break it up. If there are logical divisions between parts of the trip, that might be an even better means of presentation, and the current article-linking allows people to keep track of multiple posts grouped together.

Why would you ever leave New Jersey for California of all places? Wouldn't you rather be freezing your ass of in a snow storm RIGHT NOW?

I second your idea. Maybe a daily drive journal.
