Last night, I went to a car meet in 'honor of mr walker'; and for pretty much an impromptu car meet in december, it was probably one of the biggest ive been to this year(without a doubt, biggest at this location). Cars just kept piling in and it never stopped until about midnight.
this beautiful blue NSX....

and of course. Someone had to have lambo doors without an actual lamborghini... This time the offender was a 1st gen RX7.
I didnt take lots of pictures, and i didnt even walk the entire lot. I was too busy just chatting with people. But the above is all i have.
A conservative estimate would be 250-300 cars. But i really want to think there was closer to 4. The amount of people there made it nearly impossible to drive a car up and down the isles. So many cars. An awesome night indeed. Mr. Walker would be proud of how diverse the car culture is. This was also a very rare occasion everyone got along. No drama, no fights, a few train horns here and there but pretty calm.

He had strobing lights and neon too....

I like that he is revving his engine, but someone has to tell him he looks like a fool!

Looks badass.
Most I did was just challenge muscle car AI to races on the highway in Forza Horizon...

Such a pretty car. But my favorite is the yellow one TokyoBayAquaLine posted like 7 months ago (and if I was on my laptop instead of my phone I would post it).

I don't live near any car scene (Buffalo NY). I haven't been to car meets, other than C&C when I went to Houston, and some random meets in Toronto. And that was all a couple of months back.
Oddly enough though, there are a couple of FR-S's, a WRX (non-STi), a R8 V8 a few blocks away, and tons of GTIs. No idea why there aren't any meets.
I wish I lived somewhere with a decent amount of activity...

Dude, im sure you got some sort of a scene in buffalo. You just gotta do a little digging on facebook. Its a good place to start finding groups and meets. Though, they probably wont start happening until spring for you guys....
If there seriously isnt anything. Get you and a few friend of friends to meet up at a local food place, buy food and hang out on a weekly basis. Word spreads, and people will begin to come out.

Keep in mind most of the people with decent cars are doctors. I doubt they'd go. And now all the RWD cars are being put away for winter. You don't really want to risk it...
But still, I think I might be able to get some stuff going...once you get up north, it's much more lively. I'll try and get a few car guys together, and see what happens. Doesn't help that I'm a student though :p

hey, ive met people younger and way older than me. Im in a prelude group and were all completely different ages and backgrounds, but we all enjoy being prelude enthusiasts and have a good time hanging out and just bsing.
Its even better that your a student. Thats the best place to find people who have cool cars, and expose them to a community to hang out with. Because often times those guys dont realize there are many others just like them who are car enthusiats.
Yeah, even if its just 5 of you guys. Make it a monthly or weekly thing, and be open to accepting anyone who joins you. Make a group on facebook too if you want to openly invite people. Its how these things start.

I'll start in the spring, I guess. I know a couple of people who enjoy talking about cars, but we don't usually talk in person. I wonder if doctors would be open to joining...I figure they must be enthusiasts if they have Golf R/GranTurismo/Cayenne Turbo/S5.
I'll try making plans to meet with them sometime. The WRX guy lives on my block, I've ogled his car but never talked to him. I'll try and hunt down that FR-S guy, if I see him.

The biggest challenge is starting up the conversation. But with the help of facebook, it makes it easier. Youll be going outside your comfort zone for sure, but its a learning experience!
You might have more trouble with a doctor being busy with work to show up. Start with a few guys and see where it goes. Maybe even organize a cruise. That will bring out some people too. Set up a planned route and enjoy driving.
