Damn,I'm an alcoholic.This is the 1st thing I noticed and Miller is not sold here but I was 99% sure it's beer so I googled it.Still,700hp out of 1.7liters is amazing.

The A in BDA means aspirated. These were turbocharged though the engine was probably some derivative of a 2.0 BD stroked down to 1.7.

Still have the full page ad: "Miller in the new 1.7 liter size". Saw it race and win at Brainard in 1981. It was also Le Mans weekend, so Ludwig didn't have a lot of competition.
