That's a really trippy movie. I remember seeing it in the theaters when it came out, and I own in on DVD, though I haven't watched it in many years. Somehow, though, as good as the puppetry was, I'm not sure it holds up. It was on TV a few weeks ago, and we watched a bit of it, though it kind of freaked out my younger boys. We happened on the scene where the Skeksis are eating dinner. Not pleasant, and such a far cry from The Muppet Show, which ended the year before this was released.

Pro Tip - Do not watch this movie of you are tripping balls on a bunch of serious pain killers that you got for a tonsillectomy that developed complications.
