why do euro and import kids like doing this?

i see a ton of cars with factory turbos and giant FMIC's running around with no front bumper. If I did this to show off the heat exchanger on my car (which is painted black to hide it) I would have to removed damn near the whole front end.

Excellent stance. Probably not very comfortable but it looks good and probably works reasonably well on a track.

Is it just me though or do the wheels/tires look 'shopped in there? Probably just me.
