Yes. THERE IS A NEW MUSTANG OUT.
But does it look as downright dirty and pretty as the F-Type Coupe?

Better question:
800+ HP Mustang VS F-Type Coupe?
Because they will cost you the same to buy.

My reaction to the Mustang, "Hey that is pretty cool."
My reaction to the Jag "Dammit, now I need new pants."

The new F-Type will win every styling war it enters with any modern American car.
This is comparing Apples to Kumquats.

I know growing up people always told us "There is no such thing as a stupid question" but that is a stupid fucking question. But i think you already knew that, and we love you just the same ;)

I swa somebody's pre-release shoop of what the 2015 Mustang might look like, and it was basically this + Miata. Even despite the latter, probably better than what we got.

Ooooh, I like this line from fender too taillights. I like it very much. never noticed it before

I present this argument. Perhaps the F-Type still looks better, but I personally think the Mustang looks a whole lot better in this color.

Modern? That depends on your taste. Currently in production? Yeah, probably.

*smells a new mustang Rival* There is blood in the water. This is going to be an interesting competition if you track the two against each other.

Styling wise, I still think that the F-type is a more beautiful styling exercise than the Ford GT. But yes, taste is always a personal opinion. And the Ford GT is a wonderfully executed vehicle.

True. 550bhp against 420bhp, but the Mustang will no doubt be tuned by everyone and his dog whereas the Jag won't. Jag weighs 1600kg but we don't have Mustang weight yet. That axle must have weighed a ton

F-Type is prettier, but you can get a proper transmission in the Mustang. Not that these things are related.

Which one the Solid read? or the new IRS? And supposedly Shelby will be making something for the were be it as GT350 or GT500 or even a Mach 1 there will be a big slug fest between these cars.

Likewise, Kumquats are significantly more expensive than apples.

Dear Jag,
Transmission Manuel. Nao plz.

I'm fairly confident that the price difference in the Mustang, especially since it uses the existing Coyote, would be enough to break 600+ HP easily.

Ha, that's the first thing I thought of, too. How is that still banging around in my head? I haven't seen it in a while.

But the interesting thing is many of us would instantly dismiss the Stang if you could not get three pedals...yet many of us lost our goddamn minds over the F-type despite it's lack of a proper trans.
![]() 12/05/2013 at 11:44 |

That's a factor of two things:
1. It's that goddamned good looking
2. That's expected from the F-Type given its price and target market
My comment was no way intended to be an intelligent musing on the matter.

Very strange comparison. I mean, given the choice? No question, Jag all the way. Practically though I'm much more likely to wind up with the Mustang, and that's not a bad thing.
Looks alone though, Jag all the way.

Yes.
No.
Maybe.
I don't know.
Who cares?
Mustang.
![]() 12/05/2013 at 12:06 |

Nope...
Gotta admit the new Mustang is sexy, though... Not to mention much cheaper and can have the proper number of pedals.
![]() 12/05/2013 at 12:36 |

I got this.
![]() 12/05/2013 at 12:37 |

Not even close.
I always say that it takes just as much to stamp an average, or ugly shape out of metal as it does to stamp a beautiful shape... it is a matter of the design...
but the Jag looks gorgeous, and the Mustang looks like it was designed to a price point, even stylistically.
And forgive me... I think I like the separate rear quarter window, and the body-colored B-pillar on the Mustang... even though I like a continuous window graphic on pretty much every other car. It is kind of like a Corvette with a rear quarter window, rather than a basket handle and wrapped rear glass... the tradition was kind of nice, and without it... it looks more generic.
![]() 12/05/2013 at 12:39 |
|
Maybe...
But it needs a blacked out roof... hopefully the glass roof is still an option.
I kind of miss the separate quarter window and body-color b-pillar.
![]() 12/05/2013 at 12:52 |
|
ooh, a black sunroof would look fantastic on that car. The shape of that roof might make for a pretty expensive glass roof, haha.
![]() 12/05/2013 at 12:56 |
|
The roof is not more curved than the previous Mustang that did have a glass roof option.
The glass roof won't have the lowered center, though.
12/05/2013 at 13:37 |

I don't think that the Mustang is as bad looking as majority of people seem to think but F-type wins still hands down.
