Argh!
Not long ago I wanted to return to my childhood hobby of collecting model cars. Back then I used to collect 1:24 and 1:18 models. Unfortunately, I only have 1 or 2 that survived to this day in decent condition. What prevents me from coming back to this is the sheer cost of those models.
So, Opponauts, do you have any tips for starting a HW collections? Maybe you'd have some tips on where to look, what to look for, what to ignore, the cost of all this, etc.?

Hot Wheels are great because they're cheap. I've also got a 1:43 collection going, and I really like those because the variety is HUGE and most come in display cases.

Depends on which you want... I have a mix of both the dollar cars and the mor ehigh end series cars. I lvoe the series car, but they cost about $4 each and are hard to find... it you want to start easy, just buy some cool $1 cars and put them on your wall... I did that with simple cars like a Delorean and 911 GT3..

Buy what you think is cool, that is the only rule. Who cares what everyone else has. It is about what YOU like! Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, and Matchbox make anything you can imagine so go crazy!
