So yeah, i'm now oppoing from a local game store and just in case if you wonder how much is it for an Xbox One+Forza 5 in indonesia, wonder no more. It's 11.5 Million Indonesian Rupiah, or about 1,150 USD. That's mental. For a comparasion, PS4+1 free game coupon retails for 895USD in here. Anyway, is there any opponaut plays the Driveclub yet?

Nobody's played Driveclub yet, since it was sadly delayed.

Those prices are ridiculous (taxes, I guess?) but the difference between the XboxOne and PS4 is proportional to that in North America. PS4 - $400, XBOne - $500 here. 20% difference. (80% of $1150 is $920)

No. They're ilegally imported from Singapore.
It's quite common practice in here, where we import electronics before it was launched for a ridiculous margin.

Oh yes, i forget that.

Oh, that's pretty crazy. When are they going to be officially released?

That's a lot of cash.
My Brazilian collegues tell me that the new PS4 costs about $1000 over there, and that Sony is charging so much only because that's what the gray-market importers charge, so they figure they can get away with it.

I think it's next year.

Ouch, are the prices at least going the be comparable to the US when that happens?

not entirely true.
In Brazil the price is R$3999 (1683.22USD)
R$858 "transfer" cost, which is essentially the cost of manufacturing the unit and getting it to Brazil (21.5%, 351.14USD)
R$2524 in various Taxes (63%, 1062.38USD)
R$875 Distributor fees. (22%, 368.30USD )
= R$4257
Then Sony discount their margin to bring it down to R$3999
The XBone is muuuuuch cheaper in Brazil because Microsoft manufacture the Xbone in Brazil.

Post-taxation... probably not, due to the regular vendors seeing what they can charge for it. Well, Malaysians don't seem to have much of a chance of getting one, despite the CPU being made here...

yes, probably.
The PS3 for example, it's now about 220 bucks.
