I Bumped into this video, and it feels nice having heard the V8's in Austin one last time, but damn, i would have loved to hear these live.

It's crazy to hear that noise and try to comprehend how an engine could make that noise.

Dear lord. And to think that a hole wasn't torn in the universe when F1 was running V10s; it's a miracle.
On a side note, the effortlessness with which he nails the apex at Parabolica is a little absurd. I always struggle with exactly how to approach that corner in sims.

Watch the first in car of that entry and then again at 3:00. Listen close and you'll hear why it was so "easy" for him. The traction control cuts in as he gets back in it and at 3:00 watch the steering wheel as he turns it a bit too much to the right, you hear the traction control cut in just ever so slightly a few times as he moves that wheel a bit much a few times. In some of the sims I've used, where they have traction control as an option, it becomes much faster of a lap the less you allow it to cut in so being as smooth as possible allows more power to be put down and less taken away with the TC so the corner exit is faster. At 3:00 you can see Kimi actually doing that, trying to find the most grip but not let the TC get in the way of robbing him of more speed.....balancing the technology even then. Without the TC the steering wheel gets noticeably busier when trying to get grip and acceleration out of that turn.
