Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office is saying that the Porsche carrying Paul Walker was likely drag racing. Remember, street racing kills.

"Drag racing"

Everything is racing, always. Did they actually substantiate that, or was this a case of "all reckless fast driving is racing and all racing is reckless fast driving" brainfart? Not saying it couldn't have been, but drag racing (at least, say, stoplight to stoplight) is (so far as that goes) not the most likely sort of irresponsible behavior to put someone into a tree - sustained racing over a length of road is.

If as I believe this is the first we've heard of this, it may be speculation (grounded or not) framed by "all racing is drag racing".
