Ok so I'm single and the reason being is probably the fact the love of my life is my Beetle, but anyways...

Kinja'd!!!

I ordered the Thule Aero Blade roof rack with the fairing

I ordered the VW Stainless Steel exhaust tips but I think I'm going to just get an exhaust setup (magnaflow or neuspeed)

I'm still trying to figure out what else I think I should do.... I want to lower it but not slam it... don't know which route to take...... maybe y'all know what would be best?

Also, what else should I get for the bug? (reasonable stuff)

What year/gen is your bug? I'm sorry, but I'm drawing a blank.

If it's a 2.5, get a tune from United Motorsports or C2. If it's a 2.0T, I'd say go APR or Unitronic. They cost <$1000 and will net you 20-40 hp depending on engine.

I looked at the AeroBlades, and they seem really nice. The problem is the universal mounting brackets (my car has factory side rails) cost almost 50% more than the bars themselves, and I find it hard justify that kind of expense.

If you're looking to improve/mod your Bug, have you looked at an ECU tune , improved air intake , or lightweight wheels ?

If you're lowering, make sure you get good poly bushings installed at the same time (or just get the polys installed regardless).

I went to my dealer to buy a factory rack but VW hasn't come around with one yet, so my dealer researched and came back to me with 3 options, they've put the thules on another bug and said it fit great and it was up to me to choose the standard or aero blades, then I opted for a fairing.... what makes it even better is the fact THE DEALER COVERED THE COSTS for being a loyal customer (merry xmas to me)

The only issue I have with tunes is voiding my warranty..... suspension, intakes and bolt ons I can remove with no trace but the tune will always be present and the dealer with their fancy 'puters will always find a trace...

I worry about voiding my warranty... I want to tune it so bad.

An exhaust and a new suspension will already affect things to some degree on that end. I don't know, I just can't see not going all in once they already have an excuse to void you.

the drive train is the only thing I would care about warranty wise, all else is ok.

I understand - I'm well past the end of warranty so would consider getting a tune. And you're awful lucky to get such a nice gift from your dealer.

I'll call and ask them aboust what effexts what when I lower it and put a full exhaust on it.

My dealer has been very generous and they bend over backwards for me. I think the fact I travel to them to do anything to my car instead of using a local dealer comes into play, oh and my car was in a minor rear end accident that wasnt to their knowledge and they were upset with themselves and the techs for not catching it so they extended my warranty.
