I'm pretty happy with it. Between it and the lipstick, my car finally has a proper GTI grille.

Unless that Golf came out of the factory as a GTi stop making it pretend to be something its not, its the car it was born as

Caaaaaalm your tits. It's a real, honest, from the factory GTI. VW just left the lipstick off of the MkIV and only put the grille badge on a couple special editions.

It is, VW just neglected to give the mkiv a proper GTI grille, so I elected to make my own. So really, it's more like if BMW left 318 bodywork on the M3 and someone decided to fix that :p

I've been thinking of pulling the GTI badging off of my MKV and throwing on a Rabbit emblem for the scheiße und giggles.

It looks just like any other normal production MkIV GTI or Golf (GTI pictured, note the smoked rear turn signal).

You're probably thinking of either the 20th Anniversary/337 special editions:
