I feel like we haven’t seen this in a while and with weather cooli ng down it might be time to start folding again. I turned my AC off about a month ago but the folding has continued, albeit at a lower rate since I find myself gaming a lot more frequently. Still averaging ~700k points per day myself, but I see that many have been dormant recently with a huge chunk of production coming from the top 10.
However, looks like our team is finally hitting a wall:
No movement in the last 7 days and overtaking those in front of us is going to take a lot more time at our current pace.
Looks like we’re at about half of our weekly point production compared to our peak back in May.
We’ve got people closing in on the 300M points mark, I myself didn’t realize until recently that I had passed the 100M mark. When availability improves, I’m looking to move up to a new PC with an RTX 3070/ 3080 to drive the 4K monitor I bought over a month ago. The 1660 Super I bought back in March is great at driving 1080p games on my TV but starts to struggle with games at 4K depending on how high I push the settings, although it’s doing much better than I thought it at 4K gaming with reasonable frame rates. Not sure what I’ll do with my existing i7-4770k/1660 Super based system but I’m not interested in sinking more money into it.
Hopefully we’ll see some Oppos return to folding soon!

Worth noting that moving forward, all work units are CUDA enabled when applicable, so folders should see 15-30% uptick in PPD.

Since it’s cooled off outside, I’ve been folding steady on my primary machine (maybe 2000-5000 pts per day) and about 30-50% on my second machine (about 25000 pts per day).
I’m doing what I can...

And no one here expects anything more! Every little bit helps. Given how many participants we had and how many seem to be dormant right now, hopefully more people are reminded to start folding again (provided that they want to).

I had some major hiccups with the latest windows insider builds, NVIDIA drivers and F@H Clients. Seems to be working now that they mainlined the CUDA support bits.
I’m back on since the weather cooled off, I should have another GPU coming online pretty soon too.
