If you live near trails wide enough for it to fit down, a first generation Ford Raptor might be the most exploitable performance you can get for $25k.

I’m so jealous. You have the exact Raptor I want in every way. Enjoy it!

Thanks! I plan to spend a lot of time on dirt roads with it. If you ever find yourself in northern NM give me a shout and we can take it out.

Sweet! I’ve never really been into offroading, but ever since I got married, I’ve been wanting one of these more and more
It’s a 1980's Chevrolet C20, same squarebody as the one sold in the US, but styled differently. It came in a pretty rare 4x4 version, but conversion kits aren’t hard to find, and what you get is a light, torquey durable 4x4 truck. It helps thay my wife is into camping and off roading as well, and actually supports my vehicular fancies.

They’re pretty unique for pulling off the opposite of what GM used to do here, it’s an Opel faced Chevrolet, instead of a Chevy faved Opel. They were built by the thousands so it’s not too hard to find one in decent shape, though if I could have my choice, I’d totally go for the much more rare and expensive Bonanza/Blazer version

Will do! Already getting a lot of scratches as the trails are pretty overgrown right now. Probably gonna have to invest in some paint work at some point if I keep using it like this.

I’ve wanted one since they came out even though I’m not really a “truck guy .” Finally the depreciation and my salary intersected in a way that could make it happen. I do love the blue but at the rate I’m putting scratches in it I’m going to have to pay for some serious buffing and touch up to keep it nice.

Lol I know I know. Here’s the thing about living in the high desert though - all that mud from the snowfall 2 weeks ago is completely dry now so if I couldn’t completely cover it then it just makes sense to spray it off.
