Rust in Peace turns 30 today.

Lot of bangers on this album: Hangar 18, Take No Prisoners, Lucretia, Tornado of Souls, Rust in Peace... Polaris, and the unforgettable track

When asked by a non-metal fan for an example of a song they should hear, I give them this. To me, one of the greatest metal songs I’ve ever put ears on. I got to meet Dave back in 2010 (oh heck a whole a decade ago). Testament and Megadeth opening for Slayer. Heck of a show. Heck of a guy. Glad he beat cancer this year.

Same. The show  near pittsburgh and the one in cleveland were about the same distance for me so I was thinking about going to both. Neither happened (though I have already seen Megadeth twice, it’s always worth going again)

I have his solo album “music for speeding” - it’s a little weird in places but some very good guitar work.
