Vancity Cruise - Pitches

I think that there is some interest in a cruise in/around Metro Vancouver in the coming weeks. I’m pretty flexible on the times and can do short notice.

Weekends:

September 26 & 27
October 3 & 4
October 10, 11 & 12 (Thanksgiving)

The routes I am thinking about are maybe the Sea to Sky to Squamish, cruising around downtown (Gastown/Downtown) or my favorite would be a rip around Fort Langley as at least I know the some decent roads.

My personal pitch would be Fort Langley, rip around the countryside (hills, sharp corners and flat sections) then we can grab coffee or food/drinks.

I may or may not have a friend from highschool who crossed the MN/Canada border to avoid police detection in the states . It did not work out well for him .

He’s doin g good these days though, so happy ending to the story.

I’d be happy with a Fort Langley rip if I’m honest, it’s a safer trip for me on the moto just hoping on the 17 for the most part out there.

I hate Downtown, [driving or riding] and the bike could be subject to VI with a dink officer. S2S I’ve done enough times that I’m not gung- ho, it’s also out of the way for both of us.

As for dates, I’d be good for this weekend but both days currently look like rain with Sunday less likely in the afternoon. The forecast is subject to change that far in the future though, as you know, so fingers crossed Monday’s sun and cloud bumps up a day... I’ll chime in Thursday on that or just bring the beater XRS if everyones down for this weekend despite rain.

I’m still sorting out work contracts and Oct is a bit of mystery.

I’m down for Fort Langley on one of the October weekends. Never really explored that area, so I'd be curious to check it out!

I might be in for the early Oct. My folks live in Kelowna, and my mom just got out of the hospital, so a trip out that way is impending anyway, kinda works out. Like the idea of Langley backroads, new zooms are always good. Love the sea to sky, but already know it.
