If you like instant ramen and box mac and cheese...
This is the best of both worlds. Make it with as little water as possible to keep the broth creamy. I made it with the “cover noodles in bowl with boiling water and wait” method this time, but I do bel ie ve it’s worth boiling the noodles separately to control the amount of water used to reconstitute the flavor and veggie packets.

Or just add more cheese (I say this as I finish the second slab of Cabra al Vino, the only food I’ve had since 5:00 this morning...)

A s a fellow cheese hound I don’t have a problem with that idea, as a trash-food connoisseur I worry that it would change the delicate balance of dried-cheese-powder to inst ant- ramen- spice flavor.

As long as you don’t go into it expecting it to be close to either mac n cheese or ramen it’s pretty good.

Was lazy today , ordered two for the price of one c ouscous royal (chicken, lamb, meatball and merguez) on Uber Eats (i really don’t like the company but there was also a -7€ for 20€ coupon) so i paid 20.50 € including shipping for both.

mmmm, hard to find a good merg uez in the US North East, so we make our own... it’s been a while since we did, but we just got a business deal with a local sausage magician (seriously, her sausage is off the hook) and we’ll be supplying mutton and lamb for her to perform her arcane seasonings on...

Ooh, there’s an H Mart a block away from me, gotta try this sometime.

To be fair, while a really like a good merguez i still prefer a good pork saus age which can also pair very well with a couscous.

The problem I worry about with lowering the water content in ramen noodles is that concentrating the flavor like that can simultaneously raise the salt concentration to overwhelming. Any danger of that in this case, do you think?

Damn, they don’t ship to Canada! I’ll see if I can find them here...would love to try them! I do love my ramen as a quick lunch once and awhile! :)
My latest thing is Indomie Hot and Spicy ramen....tasty stuff! :D

You might want to give this one a try too:
It’s part of the same lineup of spicy noodles in the YouTube challenges, and it’s a “fried noodle”, you put even less water in the soup base, and stir the noodles in.
Tried the black bean sauce one and I like it a lot, but there’s some heat to it.

you can always add more water if the first taste is too salty. but just as you cannot un-cook a steak, you can’t take the water out once you’ve added it. I’m probably a bad judge of the saltiness for normal people, I LOVE salty. I would say it’s not the saltiest ramen I’ ve ever had, it’s average.

It’s a favorite, also known as Drunken Goat. It’s not cheap but Costco had huuuuge wedges at a good price so I treated myself.
There’s another interesting cheese I like called Mimolette that comes out of France. Because it gets part of its texture and flavor from mites that eat the rind the USDA has decided that Americans can’t have it.

I also vouch for these. I’ve tried all of the Samyang spicy line (including the vision-warping 2x spicy red), and the cheese are my go-to favorite. I have a pack a couple of times a month. Usually the night before I have a day with no agenda.
So delicious.
