Again with !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , half of the same car... cut in half... all blurry (at least it’s not the wide angle megash* tty pics this time)... let’s hope it’s the last of this series because we are all getting tired of this s*it.
Steelies with curb rash !
This morning, next to my car there was this Scenic first gen with a.... petrol engine ! and a nice pearlescent paint, probably from factory (there was many of those on this era Renaults) :

I wish we got the C3 over here...I quite like ‘em! :(

I like the little C3. Though what I’d really want is a Cactus!

Also the DS3, that was a beautiful small car

Yes, they are awesome. When I went to France back in like 2012, I decided I was going to rent a weird little French car. I really wanted a DS3, and they had them, but they were obscenely expensive, so I ended up with a Peugeot 207 CC “64 edition”. Also a fun little car.

The C3 just looks so right with black steelies. Better than the one with the red roof and alloys in the background. It’s just a utilitarian little hatchback that may or may not actually be a CUV.
Did the Scenics have clearcoat issues? That paint color kind of reminds me of this really weird looking purple color that came on Nissan Muranos that looked like crap from the factory.
Something also always felt off about the orange. It was just oddly glossy and didn’t hold up to the sun very well. It kind of looked like the car had been laminated from a distance.
Also, I always enjoy the Europpo DOTS as I nearly always learn something new. Has it just been that this one spot has had all the interesting stuff lately?

The one on the background also have steelies but with hubcaps.
I definitely prefer the one with the red accents but those hupcaps are not exceptional.
They are more of a li fted hatchback than a “real” CUV (they are less than 4m long, like a Focus and base models are around a ton ) and they just have been facelifted :
And yes, the Scenic definitely did have clear- coat issues :)
This, was an extremely common pearlescent paint on Renaults of this era :
This one was also quite common (and... special) :
Also this one (its a MK2 Scenic) :
And on a MK2 Megane (not entirely sure it’s the exact same color code ) :
Always loved this one which is really light grayish blue (or is it lavender :) ) (on a MK1 Megane Coupé ) :

I do like the modern trend of bright roof color accents but the wheels just don’t look great with the rest of the design. What’s that weird looking bulge in the roof supposed to be? A sunroof? Reminds me of the much maligned Nissan Maxima sunroof except actually kind of fun and interesting.
Also, I love how the interior design matches the exterior on the C3. The cloth pattern looks like the rubber side pieces.
Haha, well, “lavender” it is then. I’ve never been much of a fan of pearlescent paint on cars. I’d much rather have a bright metallic flake for the lighting dynamism. I kin of like it here though (or maybe I just really like that particular Megane design). I even see the light blue!

Serious Question:
Do F rench cars get delivered with dents and dings straight from the factory?
Or is it a dealer installed item?

It’s basically everywhere in the “old world” i believe, if you use your car in a city and don’t have a garage ( and luck) you can’t keep your car pristine .

There is a bulge on the roof that can have optional stickers on it on upper trims (and love this beige) :

Their configurator has an old and a new one and I don’t really see the difference. It is a fun and funky little hatchback though. There aren’t too many options though and I couldn’t find the roof sticker packs you mentioned. Still, that is an interesting way to break up the roof.
I love that teal color with the white and gray interior with woodgrain accents. Especially if it had the white roof shown above. It’s just so French in all the right ways.
Though you are right. That beige is superb. It’s quite a good looking color combo. Dang it you’re making me sad we don’t get Citroens here again!

steelies for the win!

Those two you posted are non-facelifted ones (no “whiskers”) and smaller and square airbumps (the thing on the doors) ; it’s a shame the flashy blue is not a thing anymore and i also loved those 4 branches alloys .
The roof decals are on the page you posted, obviously called “ ROOF CAPSULE” !
FYI, there are more versions and optional equipment available on the French configurator (there are usually less variants o n RHD markets) but unfortunately not more main colors which is a shame .
This site lists the differences (it’s not a big facelift but it didn’t need much change IMO).

Ah, I see what you mean. The teal color really works with the red roof decal. I think I like the pre facelift version slightly more but it’s not a huge change.
Oh, and you’re right. I usually do the Google translate faf but I didn’t this time.
I do like those alloys. Citroen has consiste ntly had some pretty unique wheel design. I love how the center cap recalls the old logo of the double chevron inside a square. It meshes with the shapes on the old airbump design well. Still, there will only ever be one for me.
I saw a design breakdown of this car when it came out in Automobile Magazine and it changed the way I look at car design. It also made me realize how intriguing foreign market cars could be. They weren’t all what I saw then as weird small cheap hatchbacks. I had never even heard of Citroen before. Unfortunately, I’ve been told it doesn’t quite live up to expectations with its driving dynamics. In my head I’m picturing it driving somewhere between this: (what is with all the Nissans today?)
And this:
But I’m told that is not at all how it drives. Sad.

They are neither sporty nor luxurious and more comfort oriented , my mother has a C3 Picasso which is taller and older but based on the same platform and while it’s not a great drivers car, it’s handling quite well for what it is and is actually fun to drive at speeds it’s engine permits (a 90hp turbodiesel) .

Hmm I actually like that. It’s just a utilitarian minivan like body for the C3. Reminds me a little of the Transit Connect passenger. I don’t expect it to be exactly a corner hugger but being able to have a fun factor is probably more important. Especially since the engine options available would more than likely make them very slow by American standards.
Oddly enough the US market currently has a lot of options for small passenger vans but we have bought exactly none of any of them. The Mercedes Metros, Transit Connect, Dodge Promaster City ( Fiat/other brands small van), even the Nissan NV200 had passenger versions but you'd be hard pressed to find any of them on the road. There's a passenger Metrics with limo tint and stupid wheels I see occasionally but I think I may have only ever seen one passenger Promaster City.
