I own a 2012 Versa, exact same car. For a low-end econoslush, I think it’s an excellent car. Comfortable, responsive steering and brakes, decent acceleration for a four-banger/auto. Really, a great car for the value. My 19-YO daughter drives it and she loves it. If I tried to sell it tomorrow, I’d be thinking maybe three grand, a bit more since, as they’re saying, the low-end used car market is very hot right now.

Thoughts?

I have not yet seen a Versa with crap clearcoat. Is that failing clearcoat there or just the absence of dew?

I respected the Note as cheap transportation but I’m not clamoring to own one outside of a spec racing series.

6900 for a 9 year old Versa? That person needs to be committed .

As cheap transportation goes, I’d say the Versa is top shelf.

Dew; not crap clearcoat.

Or at least experience an expectations reset. If you could filter your loathing from the equation, where would you price it?

With the strong prices on used cars, I’d aim higher, though you didn’t say what your mileage is.  You can always lower the price, maybe start at $4500?

Your market is a little different than mine, but I found this one at 3800 in my area. It does have higher miles, so I’d say the one you found should be ~4500.

I actually very much like the new Versa. It’s a genuinely stylish vehicle for what it is and is extremely competent. Just what the market wanted it seems.

I’m not sure if mine is over 100k, but I LKQ’d the engine and trans -- neglect from previous owner, which is how I ended up with the car -- and has maybe half that. But I’m not trying to sell mine.

Yeah. I think he’s off by a grand or two, minimally.

I’m actually okay with this Versa, and the Versa Note. It’s the old Versa Sedan I have a problem with... that thing is so fugly.

New sedan is okay... looks like an off-brand 8th Gen Civic with some Hyundai Elantra cues.
