Might be the best but the facelifted Z31 is the only one I actually want to own. (alongside G-nose S30)

Can confirm Z32 is the best Z. Looking forward to building another one some day.

I wouldn’t want to work on one! One of less accessible engine bays when it comes to getting to various things. Nissan was on its Tetris game when it stuck a 3.0L TT under there.
I think my rankings still have this guy second, but original 240z has to go first in my mind.

I actually had one of those it was a ‘98 SE-R and was quite a fun little thing. Kinda miss it except for some reason I also had a bullseye painted on me in it.

Yeah they look cool and have T-tops and a rear wiper, but the problem is that they’re impossible to work on.

That was where they went to a V6, if I’m not mistaken. When I was a private in the Army, stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana, there was this s**t-for-brains lieutenant who had one. Around 1985, this story takes place. Anyhow, Lieutenant Huther had this new 300Z and I said, “They went from a straight-six to a V6.” He replied, “No they didn’t!” I said, “Sir, I’ll bet you lunch at Burger King that your car has a V6 engine.” So he and the executive officer, and SFB lieutenant, and I, went out to the parking lot and sure enough, V6 was embossed somewhere prominently under the hood. And do you think that useless turdball ever bought me lunch?
I’d want the 260 or the 280, whichever one was more
basic
. For that matter, I’d be happy just for the chance to drive one for an hour.

When you’ve got an advanced, beautiful, fast, groundbreaking sports car, I feel like engine accessibility isn’t the top concern. Anyway I’ve changed a timing belt on one, and I’m an imbecile

I agree. Beautiful cars, kicked off the whole 90s sports car thing. I’ve owned 3 and I get a pang of longing every time I see one.

Mmm yes correct. I took mine to the track this week and reaffirmed it’s a very good car.

I would have liked a first gen SE-r... A viable competitor to an SI in sedan form with that super punchy I4, great seats too.

Haging worked on a Mitsubishi 3000 GT TT, I'd rather work on this.
