It’s bricked in the driveway. I don’t know what my plans are yet - depends if I can get someone besides the dealer to work on it.

It’s currently in “ran when parked” mode. I miss driving it. Not sure yet what I’m going to do about it. Some folks were trying to talk me into an EV-swap which could be fun if I could do that sort of thing , but I can’t.

It’s all good. I’m just sitting on it for now until money is a little more consistent (or so I tell myself).

I really don't like my cars sitting broken in my garage. I get too anxious somehow.

Shucks... that sucks. This car puts the biggest grin on my face when I drive it - heck, even when I just look at it - so I can imagine how you must feel. So, no one has any idea what’s wrong? I think you can get used engines for $1000 or so.

Needs a new engine and turbo, most likely. Dealer (that lost my phone number for nearly two months) quoted like $7k for the work which is not happening. I’d like an independent mechanic to take a look but the minute I say “Fiat” they hang up.

The new owner of mine reaches out from time to time on insta. It’s still going strong for him, but it definitely ate all of it’s oil on me before I traded it in (with equity, let me emphasize that there was equity in my sinking stone depreciation level fiat). I miss the heck out of that car every time I see another abarth

That reminds me - I need to buy some oil and check oil levels. My old one liked a bit every now and then. I imagine this one isn’t any different.
It’s just such a fun car. Objectively, it sucks - no interior room for any storage, can’t even change a playlist on my phone through Bluetooth, gas mileage is horrible for such a small car... but , nothing matters the moment I turn it on and hear the exhaust.
I saw a thing on Instagram earlier - not as slow as it looks, not as fast as it sounds.

Hmm...not sure. I’ll certainly give them a call. When I first got the car I tried a number of “Fiat” mechanics but they all meant the non-Chrysler ones. At some point I gave up - I have an indie mechanic who was happy to work on it until it blew up but won’t touch it now.
