There’s this YJ sitting on the side of the road in Eagleville. AFAICT, it’s been sitting on the same spot with a for-sale sign on the windshield for at least two months. I know some folks look down upon YJs, but jeebus.

I owned one for 4 years. They can hate it all they want, it'll always be a fun vehicle. As long as it runs.

Two months... what’s wrong with it (besides the rough body) ? Overpriced? 4 cylinder? Automatic?

No idea. I haven’t gotten close enough to it to see the price on the sign or the condition. It’s probably a combination of little
advertising and low demand. The road it sits on doesn't get a lot of traffic.

We just picked up an ‘07 JK for my wife to daily around town. It’s so clean that it has me wanting to find a YJ or TJ to build as a trail rig. I’d honestly prefer a YJ because I love interior and the axle options the leaf springs give you. One tons are dead simple on something like that. Also, as a kid they were always the Jeep I wanted. Love those square headlights!
Where’s Eagle ville? Tennessee?

Pennsylvania, about a 30-minute drive from Philadelphia.
I like the YJs for keeping close to the CJ’s proportions and simplicity. Mind you, I learned to drive on a Samurai, so I am biased toward that end of the spectrum.

Shoot.. I was hoping it may be the one in TN. If I was still up in the Wilkes-barre area I’d go find this thing and give it consideration.
Word on that. Funny how everyone loves the CJ, then slings on the YJ when it’s essentially the same Jeep, but improved. I didn’t notice the TJ went to a completely different cowl design until the other day. I always thought CJ-TJ was a direct interchange until that.
Very cool on the Sammie! I adore those little things. I taught my brother how to drive a manual in a 1st gen 4runner.
