I didn’t know you had never heard the term before. In some regions, they are called rickshaws or autorickshaws. They’re basically three wheeled open taxis with motorcycle running gear or occasionally kei running gear. Sometimes they can be pretty hacked together but lots of companies build them too.

The question is, what actually made you puke?

the tuk-tuk driver’s MotoGP-style maneuvering through Bangkok traffic?

the fact that six hours earlier, you forgot to ask for a bottled drink and got regular tap water from the street cafe where you got that great pad Thai?

the fact that the first bottle of Singha you had at the club was probably 2% ABV, but the second bottle was more like 15% ABV?

the questionable pork skewers that looked totally legit in your drunken stupor, but seemed a little raw once you started chewing on them?

or the fact that it’s 2 am and some how STILL 95 degrees F with 90% humidity, and you’ve been up since 7am in the non-stop sauna that is Thailand?

I’ve also puked out the back of a truck coming back over the Mexican border in college. I’ve puked out of a lot of things actually, helicopters etc.. Growing up in Hawaii I puked underwater in a shark cage, I figured it might actually attract some more sharks so it was cool. You don’t realise how much is moving, the cage, you, the shark and then you are trying to keep your balance in the cage while you watch the sharks. It’s a triple whammy.
