I haven’t seen any posts from either of them since they said they’d been evacuated for Forest Fires :(

Junkrat posted in the check-in post, and Tristan posted a comment 19 hours ago. They both appear ok.

Junkrat last commented yesterday. No word since then.
I think someone madea follow up post to say there’s a nonzero chance their house was saved.

Thanks, just posted a comment...just curious how they and their families are doing and whether they’ve heard about their homes in all the wildfire insanity :(

Them being OK is all that matters, just curious if they’d had any news on their homes :(

Sorry about the silence!! Me and the wife and kiddos are hunkered down at the in-laws’ place staying indoors as much as possible with the 500+ air quality. My place is safe, but without a central HVAC system to help filter the air and keep it moving, the place stinks like smoke. I've been going back daily to check up on stuff, tend to my chickens (I am a chicken tender... heh) and water the gardens. I'm really hoping the air quality improves soon so I can officially go home.

You are one of the many reasons Oppo is the best of the ‘net! Thanks for thinking of us.

No worries friend! We try to take care of our own! :)

Damn, that’s insanely bad air quality....how are your chickens surviving? :S
Sucks about the smoke....you’ll probably have to call in professionals after all this is over to try and get that smell out of everything...that won’t be easy. Is there still a close enough wildfire to your place to be a threat of fire damage, or is it mostly just smoke at this point?

Good folks showing their best selves.

I’m just heading to bed- first night back in the house. Wife and kiddos are still at in-laws’, and coming home tomorrow. The smell is extremely limited, honestly, now that I’m in it. Rains last night and throughout the day really knocked the smoke down. Hopefully it’ll help tamp down the fires, too.
My chickens are doing great, really. I figured they were close enough to the ground and they remained inside the barn throughout the ordeal. Other than bringing them inside the in-laws’ house, there were no other options, and if we're honest that wasn't ever an option with the in-laws.

That’s amazing news! Thanks for updating me!!! I’m so glad to hear that...let’s hope the fires stay away from you for the time being then...
I hope things works out as well for Junkrat...
