I don’t know what any of those words mean. But yeah it’s like an upscale K-mart. We have very few department stores compared to America, Target holds good ground :)

It’s funny that this was the original “concept”, so you nailed it.

The vibe is nice in them, but I always think it’s more “style” than quality. And, yeah, the parent company is Dayton-Hudson, based in the US Midwest. I’m just surprised that some Marks and Sparks or Woolworth’s spin-off doesn’t occupy that niche.

And, K-mart’s pretty dead.  As is most retail here.
