The following video may have explicit language lol
The grip of the PS4S tires are incredible, and this being my first ever rain experience on track was amazing to feel how well I adjusted my speed and line to make up for it. However, visibility was so bad I was driving an uncomfortable amount of the track by memory. Also trying to see a point by and then overtaking is scary as hell.
Here’s my best dry lap from yesterday but it was my first session at Palmer since last year and my tire pressures were too high. I’m sure I can do under 2 minutes.
And lastly if you’re bored here’s the whole 17 minutes of the first session, at least I had good overtakes!

I took my M3 with PS4s to a skid pad at Michelin and even on a January day in the rain it took a lot of effort to make it slide and it not want to stay sliding.

Yeah I was worried about some reviews saying they get greasy and then chunks fly off with too much heat, but I've put a lot of track miles on mine with barely any wear. I think the weight/balance of the Cayman and the track alignment probably helps a lot and maybe those reviews were with stock aligned muscle cars or something

Yeah, that’d be way too sketchy for me, but driving in the wet is a great learning experience. The really dangerous time is when it’s been wet, and they it starts drying out. You get your confidence up, and then hit a drainage spot...
And yeah, those PSS/PS4/PS4S are AMAZING on wet roads! Definitely worth the trade-off in extreme dry performance.

The first session was drying out and I was getting faster and faster but a couple slippery spots caught me here and there. Code brown for sure

I had an off in my old Mazda 3s hatch that I took to the track a couple times, in a situation just like I described. Thankfully was able to get back on and get going, no problem.

Track footage is always welcome on Oppo.
