Ordered on Amazon a holesaw for brick. Holesaw came with a pilot drill bit and an arbor.

How do you put a pilot drill bit into an arbor? There is a hole in an arbor. There should be a little keeper screw and an all en key to fasten it once the pilot bit is in the hole .

Did I get the keeper screw? NO. Did I get an allen key? NO, BUT! I did get a nail instead of allen key! Good nail - looks like a 10 penny nail... but what am I supposed to use it for?

What the hell!

Drill a bunch of small holes. Then chisel out the rest. I’m to cheap to purchase a hole saw that wears out half way through.

Sorry but I have no pity for you. This is the best reason I can offer why I buy local wherever possible. I can hold the damn thing before I pay out good cash. Might seem to cost a couple more bucks but there’s no returns mess to deal with or time delay.

Without a doubt... if a local place had a bit that big - needed one 4.5" in diameter.

One I got is a bit different - longer. Which is nice for a deep hole cut

Granted, I probably won’t be able to use it, but I am gonna try. Mama didn’t raise no quitter

Amazon: we can supply you with the tool you think you need but is one eighth the quality of what you actually need just a day faster than the local supplier who can supply a product that is capable of the job at hand but for twice the price.

You: blah blah blah blah...twice the price?!?! Fuck that...Amazon, have my money!!!

Not inaccurate. I checked depot and competitor. They offered same exact product... maybe without nail. Amazon could deliver it instead of me going to the covid central....directly from wuhan in 4 hours.

Even good ones don’t come with allen keys, or an arbor even . They do have the set screws if they come with an arbor though .

I see that you got a deep one.  Yeah, I don’t see any local places carrying something like that.

Sometimes it’s better to simply catch your Covid-19 from the local specialist tool shop...

At the end of year, Microsoft is ending support for Covid 19. There will be no more patches issues. Then we can finally party

I mean you can buy decent tools on Amazon, you just need to not buy the cheapest thing. And you can buy crap in stores as well.

I usually say “farmer” now. “Farmer” the heck out of it.

Farmers can make anything work.  Except newer John Deeres.  Only the dealer can do that.

The accessories packed with cheap Chinese stuff can be entertaining. I bought something a while back that had a typical screw-in battery cover with a slot for a coin to open and close it . The package included a metal washer of the right size to fit the slot , which is a nice touch. Only the instructions referred to it as a “flat head circ le wrench” instead of just saying “we gave you a washer in case you don’t have a coin handy” .

I’m sure somebody figured out how to use a nail as a pin to hold things in place, and that’s why you got a nail . But you didn’t necessarily get the same nail they made work, and they didn’t necessarily drill through a real brick wall with it.
