Phoenix joins the smoke club. It’s way high up in the atmosphere, so no smell. Just looks apocalyptic. Thick enough to make me think it was cloudy.

We had it yesterday on my side of Washington. Some strong winds whipped up the existing fires and got some new ones going. One small town was 80% destroyed. It’s been worse but it’s not good.

we even had a little bit of ash fall last night over here - you could see it like snow in the street lights

Apocalytic is a good descriptor. The orange darkness in the day was so weird. Like in an eclipse.

Our air was only 22 this morning, but the fog plus that has the same effect. We just went to the dog park. Some ash on my car every day no matter what, the wagon is grey though! I’m not washing it until the fires are gone, then I will probably do an inside and out.

It was kind of “dusty” in Bellevue last night, too.
I noticed the smoke in the streetlights by sunset, and by the time i went to bed around midnight, the smell was pervasive - turned off the AC unit for the night, strong smell is still out there this morning. I see 8 homes were lost down around Graham as well .
CaptDale - is secretly British
