Wicked. Man, I’d love a Lotus.

Awake and alive. Cleaned the house today and I’m off to the woods tomorrow for three days of hiking and photography.

I have completed a mathematical and spacial exercise of the upmost importance — my findings have shown that I can fit one more vehicle in the garage of compact origin. The drawback is that the clearance on all sides of the vehicles will be about 4", so it’s like that episode of the Simpsons where Bart repaints the entire faculty parking lot and all of the teachers are trapped in their cars.

An evocative event eventually evacuating every Evora

I need to drive an Elise/Exige. People keep telling me that it’s closer to my Exocet than to my Miata. Though I think the one I want to have some day is an Evora 400.

It’s been too hot here to muster the energy to do much. I have probably 15 deliveries expected this weekend to get me started on the Exocet fuel cell. Not sure when the fuel cell itself is expected though.

Motorcycles aren’t very practical in a place where it rains frequently for 9-10 months of the year (and occasionally during the other 2-3).

Portland? Sure, it’s dry there.

Seattle metro? Eh, it’s a bit s oggy.

I took the Z out, ran it about 40 miles and enjoyed the cool weather. The Z runs fine in the heat but it prefers to be under 70 degrees.

“Day 153 among the Porsches: They seem to have accepted me as one of their own. As far as I can tell, they’re not aware that I am a different species. I was even invited to one of their social events where we hard park and talk about the merits of different dental drill brands.”

Noice,

Welp, was gone for 3 weeks (may have noticed) on a shit tour (good money, horrible deck officers ). I’m going to hunt again, almost any other gig would be better. I got some cool pictures on the water but I noticed Kinja went to greater shit this time and won’t let me post up pics from my phone without crashing the browser .

Just picked up a ‘20 MacBook Air (the 512GB i5 Quad Core) to replace the ‘10 MacBook Pro that bit it just before I went out. Some wrenching to do on the bike this week for the end of year 3.

3 weeks is rough. Where to?

First down to Oregon which beat me pretty good (first time on something this small) , then up to Prince Rupert which was fine.

A week without cell in the states and then kind of spotty going up north of Van Island.

3 weeks I don’t find too bad, it was all the crap on that went on the boat. There are Spanish soap operas with less drama; Chief threatened to quit, one deckhand quit and another deckhand was kicked off. I’ve seen all this before, but never in such a compact timeline.

Can confirm that is indeed the case. Renting an Elise for a few days to tear around some SoCal mountains is what got me started looking beyond Miatas for more lightweight fun in the first place. The Exocet is still considerably lighter, but the even-smaller-than-the-NA dimensions and remarkably rev-happy 2ZZ helps to even the score pretty well. If the Exocet didn’t exist I’d almost certainly gone for an Elise instead.

Just out of curiosity, what cell did you go for? I have some eventual plans to convert mine over into using one as well, but that’s still a ways out so I’m just collecting data points as they show up in the meantime .

Cool. Maybe I should turo one at some point.

I went for a Rhodes Racing 10gal. It's not lined and doesn't have baffles (just a fuel sock) but I don't think that's will be a huge issue. Under $600 including walbro 255lph pump. I'll do a write-up after getting it mounted.
