I remember watching Lou Brock play when I was a kid. Things keep happening that just make me feel ol der and older.

I vaguely remember myself since I was only 6 when he retired.

He retired in 1979, so I was 12 or 13. Brock reached 3,000 hits that year, ahead of Carl Yastrzemski who also hit that landmark the same year , but Yaz was invited to the White House and Brock wasn’t, though he got an invite later.
