Update: spoke with the vendor and they have filed a shipping claim and have already processed shipment for a new wheel. I’m excited to get tires mounted and get these on the car. Center caps are back ordered for another couple of weeks.

Original Post:  I’ve been waiting for my Mustang rear wheels to arrive for a while. They showed up today (yeah!) but one of them appears to be slightly bent. Would you return this wheel?

I’m leaning towards returning. Sigh.

Take measurements and see how off it is. See if a shop can fix it. See if the company will pay for the fix instead of sending it back

Certainly not first quality, should have been sold as blemished. I purchased a pair of new blemished wheels decades ago, do real issue with balance and roundness, just visual imperfection on the lip, like the one you have.

It doesn’t look like it’d impact the bead, and it’s only visible if you get extremely close. I’d seek a partial refund or something. It could also have been the shipper's fault and not the seller's.

Have a specialist take measurements and repair quote (most likely ~$150). Then contact the company.  ...Wait a sec...most likely it was damaged in shipping, so UPS/FedEx/DHL would be on the hook for damage claim by the seller.  You might luck into a free rim

That shouldn’t affect performance imo. If you can live with it, I’d ask for a partial refund.

Are these new or secondhand? If new, send it back; if secondhand, talk to the seller.
