Walked into a store to check it out, and it was all I wanted....

Weird day today. Went into a FIAT dealership to test drive a 124 Fiata Abarth, manual. No Record Monza exhaust. I.... hated it. Wife hated it more. Too small, no room, no cubbies for anything, top of the windshield right in front of my eyes, and sound was shit - completely muffled. Manual shifter had short throws bit it felt notchy and the clutch was weird on and off. I was so bummed to have disliked it.

Another dealership has one with the Monza exhaust and I thought about going there as well, but the noise itself wouldn’t have made me like the car.

I started looking for a new 500 Abarth - none in Colorado. Looked for used ones and this popped up - 750 miles used, in one year of ownership. Basically, new car with 37 months and 49250 miles of warranty left.

Beats, sunroof, red leather, 17” forged wheels. The moment I started it, I was sold. Prices was too high, but we haggled them down and we traded in the Fit so it ended up being what we wanted.

I’m utterly in love.

I am so jealous! I really want a 500 as a FIAT fan, but they’re (even in non-Abarth trim) uncommon here as we only have one dealership in the whole province :(

Thanks! I’ve been a club member years ago and had to sell my 2014 GQ with Abarth steering wheel and exhaust, and magneti marelli wheels and competizione front and rear badge.

We just couldn’t pass this one up.

I wouldn’t call them common here either, although we had 3 FIAT dealerships at one point. Currently we still have two, with no 500 Abarths in stock.

I’ve been ready to fly out and drive a car back home, like what I did with my 2014 GQ, but this one just happened. I’m psyched :)

They are, but Abarth is officially discontinued . It’s still on the website but it won’t be available for 2021.

Thanks! I loved my old one so much and I couldn’t think of a single car in a similar price range that would put a smile on my face (at least not one as big as the one I’m wearing now).

It’s even red on two tone red and black interior with those perfect dark bronzey black wheels. That is utterly sublime. I love those 500 Abarths and yours is kitted out exactly like I would want one.

There are hyper silver and they have hype bronze option as well. I think both Colorado would work here, but those bronze ones go so well with the dark green Abarths.

They don’t look silver in the photos but now I can see it. It’s kind of a dark finish though. They work so well.

Oooh, those are nice too. Black wheels look so good on red cars. I think darker color wheels just work so well with the brighter shades of red in particular.

Awesome! Hopefully yours is as reliable as my 500 Sport was . It was a lot of fun even with less power . Only problems I had with it were some issues with the driver’s side seat back recline that was fixed under warranty, and for some reason I went through a bunch of taillights on one side.

My first one was flawless. I’m hoping for a similar experience - I’m now in FoCo and there are no FIAT dealers here.
