Maiden voyage for the new handlebars as well.
Hit the playground after school, bathtime, and now waiting at the SkyTrain station for my better half.
A good day all around.

Don’t blink, because you’ll be dropping them off for college.

I see that bike, and that trailer (with the flap up), and I just picture your kid getting a face- full of mud. Looks like the kid could use some color anyway, that face looks very pale.

Yeah, I usually keep the windshield down with the edges of the velcro more towards the center to allow for airflow. T oday was a near 30 degree day though and I didn’t want him to get too hot. It’s dry as a bone and we were mostly in bike lanes and paved multi-use paths, so mud wasn’t much of a worry.

I had no idea what they were talking about when they said they grow up so fast. I know now though. So fast

No doubt. I feel like my oldest was born six months ago ... She'll be 8 in a few months.

Watch out for day two. If it’s anything like mine, that second day will be much worse. They think that first day is fun, then it’s time without the parents and they don’t appreciate it. Our son has screamed and cried every morning and evening since the first day.

Today was orientation so I was there, but after today he’ll be without me . I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope that I have more separation anxiety about than he does, but we shall see.

Good luck.
That might help. For us the first day was when he met them and spent a whole day without us. I’m sure that seeing us talking to the teachers and easing him into it would have gone smoother. Like he eased into hanging out with the girls across the street and our neighbor and didn’t end up a mess every day. Although he also got to nap in his usual crib, not on a pad that he’s not accustomed to doing.
It’s a lot of change in their little worlds...
