Here we go again....

Just had the hood fixed on the new van last fall due to the common Chrysler bubbling, low and behold it’s bubbling again. On top of that the driver’s side headlight suddenly decided it needed water in it, so I have a foggy headlight now as well.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

It should still be under warranty, but I honestly don’t even want them touching it seeings they can never get things right.

Then again I don’t want to pay to fix something that should have been fixed right the first time.

Too bad I don’t know someone local who can do this to my hood:

Kinja'd!!!

Update:

Took it back to the dealer Saturday morning. Turns out I’m not the only one to have issues with their previous body shop’s work, so they are taking to their own shop to get it fixed right.

The headlight however is likely out of warranty, so we’ll see what happens there.

Was already fixed around 40k miles.

It’s common on these and the body shop that did the warranty work did some pretty shady work.

I had to take it back twice and still ended up wet-sanding and buffing it out myself.

At this point, I hope you get a new hood! Good they maybe just reimburse you, if you get it done yourself?

My 2012 is bubbling really bad up front like that. And moisture in the headlights.

No worse than the last gen Explorer’s hoods.

But at least Ford lets dealers replace the whole hood. FCA makes them re-paint it only.

The good news is that they didn’t fix the issue on the Pacificas either!

FCA replaces the hood unless it’s just a couple bubbles like mine was originally.

I’d certainly have them do the headlight. Get some cash for the hood and take it to someone who knows what they are doing.

For when you want the Mustang owner experience, but need a van for the family.

I gotta look at my warranty further.

I’m supposed to have B2B to 100k, but they’re claiming the headlights are only covered to 36k.....

They no longer use the body shop that did the hood originally, so it’s going to their in house shop to get redone.

I imagine you could possibly get a light for cheap at a local pick-n-pull yard?

Strangely I can buy a pair of new aftermarkets for almost the same money as a use done at a local yard.....

I had a gf that was having issues getting the dealer to take care of an a/c issue on her car, that should have been warran tied, but dealer said no.  Mopar got it taken care of.

B2B is B2B, I had a stupid issue with an Impreza years ago and they said that fasteners were not covered and I was like this whole fucking car is fasteners, so I  called Subaru of America and bitched and my car was getting repaired one week later. The dealer was pissed that I called Subaru but if they aren’t going to honor a B2b warranty you bet I’m going to complain.
