The pre-LCI tail lights are starting to grow on me.
I drove mine to work on Monday as I took my girlfriend’s parents to the airport and wasn’t going to make one of her parents get in the back of the 3. Hadn’t been driving it that much as it had a nasty steering vibration . Got the wheels balanced and it seems to be fixed, so I’ve been making an effort to drive it more recently.

They’re so much less offensive on white or silver.
It’s pretty hilarious to me that your “sunny day sports car” is actually the more practical, usable car of the two. =)
Glad you got your vibration sorted. I got a fluke check engine light a couple weeks ago that had me on eggshells, but thankfully it’s proving to really be a fluke. I always wait until I’m a quart low on oil to add it (and the computer says Add 1 Quart). There’s plenty of oil capacity, so it’s never been an issue, and it’s always a pain to add less than a quart with the digital gauge. Anyway, I’m heading home one day, and my dash starts going crazy and I get the “reduced power” message, etc. At that point, I’m thinking the worst, of course. Anyway I get it pulled over to a gas station, look through the messages, and “low oil” is at the bottom of the list (I knew I was close to needing to add a quart). Anyway, I add the quart I had in the trunk, and then the car starts up fine, but I’m still completely spooked that there’s something really wrong. I’ve driven it several times since, and that’s really all it was (it was a quart low, and instead of giving me the normal message I’ve seen the last 90,000 miles , the system completely freaked out).
Thanks,
Obama
BMW.

Yeah, they’re not terrible with a light color. That said, I think it’s grown on me since I’ve been seeing them for about 15 years, the general E90s that is.
There was some thought that went into that, basically if i ever had to justify the M3, it was the more practical car, therefore the one I should keep.
That’s strange, wonder if some sensor is on its way out. How much oil does yours burn?

Yeah, it was strange, for sure. I usually add a quart once between 7500 mile oil changes (uses it faster if I’m driving it hard for a weekend in the Ozarks, or have a track day). I do my best to take it nearly redline at least once or twice every time I drive it.
