It’s on jack stands in my buddy’s garage and I had to extract the cabby from storage at about midnight last night.
So many broken rusty bolts. Please, if you ever install stance suspension, PLEASE use anti-sieze.
If you’re buying a Miata, don’t buy someone’s former missile car.
Update 9/4: It’s not on jack stands anymore but still not drivable. Busted tie rod end, can’t get the last coilover off... I hate rust. Solid 12 hours of work so far on just suspension...

I’m blown away that you found a Miata that still has rocker panels for less than a grand. That’s like a $2k car where I live.
Should be a fun beater! I’d love to just drive an old Miata one day. Got to drive a couple of the current gen ones and love the whole cockpit feel they have.

Frankly, it’s a 2k car here too. It’s very beat (drift wound on the driver rocker panel, cut fenders for “poor man’s widebody”, crap exhaust). We started taking it apart to remove the stance coils and put on the adjustable rate MaxPeedingRods ebay coilovers. Rust is the main inhibitor.
