Sexy truck, but I would guess this is not a cheap setup.

There’s gotta be a Reddit for trucks like this laying on their sides from all that extra weight up top, right?

I think you’re wildly underestimating the cost of overlanding shit.
Spork - $5
Overlanding spork - $15

That Flippac is about 15 grand empty, there is about 5 grand in suspension, about 4 grand in wheels. 3 grand in armor, 1 grand in lights 1500 roof rack. probably another 1500 in electronics and another grand in battery and solar. Then you start outfitting.
Interesting they seem to have an HF radio setup. thats a monster loaded coil back there.
Looking at about 30 grand before you start outfitting.

Also you have to factor in the increase in pricing for Canada. Shipping, etc. It kills.
I buy all my parts in the states. Or at least, I did in the before times.

There are a lot of great canadian Toyota overland manufactures though, CBI is canadian and they are kind of the go-to for this platform.

I only know the jeep world. As much as I’d love a Toyota, I can’t fit one on my driveway

My only spork story: because I bought one for camping that had a serrated edge, Walmart’s checkout process demanded that the cashier see my driver’s license to make sure I was old enough to buy a weapon.

Definitely not cheap - that’s a Toyota Tacoma. Those cost something like $128743 on the used market, right?

I googled MC Ranch Overland and apparently they are the makers of “ The Original Fire Reflector .”
This truck is featured on their IG.

Every bro’d out Jeep I see, I swear. Back in the old days, there must have been a dozen angry eyes in the generic office campus parking garage.

Wouldn’t the original fire reflector be a pile of logs or rocks or something?

You have no idea...
Had to wait in fucking traffic to get off the fire road I was on a few weeks ago. Thankfully most of them are too afraid of scratches or pull ing an entire house behind them to go too far in. These morons also don’t know how to check for fire restrictions before heading out, and think treated wood makes good kindling. I’m sure they all got some killer Instagram pics though!

I once ate a Irish corned beef burrito in the Dublin airport, so I’ve been banned from my city’s taco trucks.

Being in the rough and tumble outdoorsy Seattle metro area where Californians and easterners migrate to become one with nature , I know more than I’d like. Lately many areas have simply closed because of overcrowding.

They are everywhere, that is unless they have a very expensive Sprinter set up, these are for the poors. I know of three Sprinters near me and I don’t think they move more than twice a year, I see them as I go by so I know they didn’t go on a week long trip.

I am amused that the Lancer has more scratches than some of these rigs. I need to fix that and polish my favorite garbage son back up, though.
